Shootings Inward Novel York

Shootings inward New York: 2010-2013 is a map of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice Research together with Evaluation Center's Shooting Index for New York census tracts.
The Center's Shooting Index represents the per capita release of shootings inside a tract inward which a civilian was injured from 2010-2013. That is clear enough. However the index is 'calculated to weigh recent shootings to a greater extent than heavily than shootings for before years'. Which without whatever information on the weighting applied yesteryear the Center is a lot less clear.
The map includes the selection to click on the census tracts to honour information virtually the racial make-up of the population, the pct of people inward utilisation together with the pct living inward poverty. It is a shame that this information doesn't too include the full release of shootings which would aid to overcome the opaqueness of the Center's ain Index values.
