Not That Election Map
After his election President Donald Trump was quick to hang a 2016 election map upwardly inwards the West Wing. This electoral college map is to a greater extent than ofttimes than non colored reddish amongst a few splashes of blueish reflecting how the country's electoral districts voted. While looking at this map Trump tin temporarily forget he lost the pop vote together with pretend that he is universally loved across the United States.
However non all election maps state the same story. The Presidential election 2016: dasymetric point density map is a point map of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. On the map i point equals i vote. So i reddish point equals i vote for the Republican candidate together with i blueish vote equals i vote for the Democratic candidate.
This point map provides a much improve visualization of the overall release of votes for each candidate, compared to the electoral college map. It allows us to meet where Trump (or Clinton) genuinely did dominate the vote together with where voting was much to a greater extent than even.
The map was created yesteryear Kenneth Field together with yous tin read to a greater extent than close how the map was made on his Cartonerd blog.
